Hope UK

Drinking, Smoking and illegal Drug use are linked to a huge amount of health, social and economic harm. Hope UK helps children and young people and their parents, carers, teachers, church and voluntary leaders meet this challenge to their health and well-being.

The UK’s 50,000 churches each have an opportunity to do something about the country’s alcohol and other drug problems.

Hope UK’s Church Representatives are people who volunteer to receive information about Hope UK and share it with their own church. This could involve putting leaflets on a table, submitting prayer requests, suggesting that a speaker is invited or suggesting to a youth worker, for example, that they might be trained as a Hope UK Drug Educator.

The minimum commitment is a willingness to share information about Hope UK with others and to encourage them to pray for our work.

Church Representatives receive free copies of Drug News and Hope UK’s quarterly Prayer Diary. They have access to Hope UK Educators for advice and to invite to undertake drug awareness presentations or training.
