Katie Woods (Woodsie) | Volunteer Youthworker | email
Katie Woods, aka ‘Woodsie’ to save confusion, is from Ipswich and is doing the YFC gap year for which her placement is Cambridge! She is working with Christian Union’s in Secondary Schools as well as helping to lead the young people at her placement church in Histon. She is here to support those who run the CU’s and provide assistance where needed. She likes to sing, and meet new people (as scary as it can be) but she also loves to laugh. For her laughing keeps her going, whether it’s at her or with those around her. It is through these things that she hopes to bring the gospel to the young people. In a way that is relatable to them and still gets them thinking. She believes that every person has a purpose, that God has a plan for all of us, so she aims to help them realize that by knowing God and knowing his word.

Dave Monck | email
Dave has only recently started volunteering for YFC, particularly with the Beyond Belief mission. He has been involved in youth and children's work for more than 10 years, the last 5 in Cambridge. He and his wife Bev have 2 sons with another on the way. In July, they moved to Barnwell and are exploring how God will use them to be a blessing to the local community. Dave loves playing hockey (with his eldest son), eating most things and flying his kite, except when it injures him.
Conor Jackson | Hope Revolution Admin Assistant
Conor is studying A levels at The Perse School, and gives his time to YFC as part of their enrichment programme. Conor is a our facebook expert and keeps young people up to date with news about forthcoming events in the Hope Revolution programme. He is the eldest of three children and spends lots of his time apologising for his younger siblings.
Emily Mackintosh | Volunteer youth worker | email
Emily is from Wallingford in Oxfordshire, and is currently on her gap year. She is based at the Good Shepherd in Arbury, and is doing some youth work there, as well as in some of Cambridge's schools. She loves talking to people and connecting with them, especially young people, as she feels that they have a lot to say but sometimes nobody listens. She is a vegetarian, and she loves animals, especially tigers. She also loves to sing, compose and write, and this is how she expresses her emotions.
