Cambridge & District Youth for Christ

Our mission is to take Good News relevantly to every young person in Cambridge and District. It's quite a challenge. How are we going about it?

Local Church Partnership

God's Plan A is to reach the world through the local church, and there is no Plan B. That means we're here to equip the local church to carry out its mission more effectively. Everything we do is with and for the local church, in order that it might be reaching out further to young people in this city.

Our Four Projects

Source is a network of Christian youth leaders. We meet with as many as possible as often as possible to offer encouragement, resources and training. We really believe that those faithful leaders, opening the bible with young people week by week, are the frontline soldiers in the battle for the hearts and minds of the next generation.

Hope Revolution is a programme of Christian events for young people, designed to complement and enhance the youth activities of local churches. We're aiming to bring young people together to give them a sense of something bigger than themselves. Worship meetings, teaching conferences, concerts and outreach events, all aiming to help young people to know Christ and make him known among their peers.

The Wire exists to equip young people to live as salt and light in their schools. We're aiming to see a vibrant Christian group in every secondary school in Cambridge and District, with support from local churches. We do this by visiting groups every week, meeting staff and students, and running regular training meetings, encouraging young people to make a difference among their peers. 

Life Plus aims to enable the local church to establish a relevant Christian witness in their secondary school. Delivering lessons in PSHE and RE with the church based youth worker, Life Plus is becoming a valued resource because of it's distinctive values and engaging presentations. Rather than being content to keep faith out of the classroom, we believe that every young person has a right to encounter a realistic alternative to secularism.
